Mix and match these ingredients to create your own balanced smoothie!

Choose fruits and vegetables that are different colors to get a variety of

phytochemicals. Opting for a whey protein base will help ensure your

smoothie contains high-quality protein. You can also add in a portion of a

plant-based protein booster, like pea protein. Smoothies make for a great

post-workout snack or meal that is refreshing and packed with nutrients,

protein, carbohydrates, and fluids. Want a little more spice in your life and

in your smoothie? Look through the list of extra flavor add-ons for some

ideas. Sip on your smoothie from a glass or mix it up by swapping your

glass for a bowl and spoon.

Tip: When you have seasonal access, find a local farmer’s market or farm/

produce stand to pick out smoothie ingredients that are in season – they’ll

be at their peak ripeness and loaded with flavor!

Don’t shy away from frozen fruit or veggies when time is tight! They’re

prewashed, which will save you time, and flash frozen for maximum

nutrient content.
